“What a difference a year makes” – a saying I always heard of, but never truly appreciated until 2008 (a year after I lost my mom) and a lesson I was reminded of this year.
A year ago today I was complacent; I was settling into my new SoCal life and I totally took my job for granted. I knew something didn’t feel right, but I chose to have faith in the fact that they would not have helped relocate me less than a year ago to have something be wrong (yes, HARSH lesson learned).
A year ago today I woke up (struggling to get out of bed I am sure <I am not a morning person>) and headed into work.
A year ago today I woke up eager to continue planning my 1st Annual California Cocktail party to celebrate my 1st Caliversary. (a twist on my annual NJ Dinner Party <a tradition I WILL continue details TK>).
A year ago today I had stability and comfort.
A year ago today I never (in a million years) expected my bottom to fall out…
Stay tuned for my follow up blog (it may be good!)
